New CG Cinematic for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Shows Geralt “Killing Monsters”

We are proud to present The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt “Killing Monsters” cinematic trailer to the public for the first time, offering a thrilling glimpse into the morally ambiguous universe of Geralt of Rivia.

“Killing Monsters” portrays the cruel and gritty world of The Witcher and foreshadows the mature mood of the upcoming story-driven RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, set for release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2014.

“Actions speak louder than words. We wanted this short movie to communicate that Geralt, despite being seen as a sellsword by many, has his own code of conduct and operates outside of the dirty morality of the world he lives in,” said Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED.

“Killing Monsters was a great opportunity to show the ambience of No Man’s Land – one of the vast areas in the game that the players will visit during their adventure. The overwhelming feeling of despair can be quite shocking, especially when you consider who the real monster is,” Badowski added.

Your cinematic movies are incredible, at first I thought they were live actors, great job portraying morality here, I can’t wait until Wild Hunt.

I thought this was an excellent trailer, but I don’t understand why the Witcher saved the woman. She was a cannibalistic, looter, and the guy decides to just kill the imperial workers and save her. Can I get an explanation?

She wouldn’t be a cannibalistic looter if Nilfgaardian soldiers hadn’t ploughed through her country, pillaging everything.

If she even was that. I mean, it’s possible, but it reeks of throwing bogus charges at people, cf. real world witch trials etc., to me.

I have Witcher2 (purchased at Game Stop when it came out by preorder) and have had it loaded on my computer since then. I have not played it in quite some time and decided to start it up again. It loaded EE patch and 3.x patches up to 3.3. (expected that). Started the Launcher and selected “launch game” – clocked for awhile (with an icon showing) and then icon disappeared and went back to the Launcher menu (without launching the game). Sent an email to Atari support (listed in the manual as support contact) and got a response that they do not handle support anymore. Directed to you. Opened the link (which is the Witcher3 site) and entered my birth date and selected “go”, nothing happened. Question – how do I get to support for Witcher2 to solve my problem? Thank you

I’m not sure if this is the best place for what I have to say, but here it goes.
I believe that something that makes the game not as awesome and envolving as it could be is the fact that Geralt always seems and sounds so very tired. It is as if he barely had the energy to speak and is forced to whisper instead. I know he is suposed to have a cold steel temper, but the feeling I get instead is of one tired old man who has to avoid straining himself.
The game is a story-focused/character-centered one, and if the character fails to interact with the story and it’s personas in a convincing and appealing way the player won’t feel half as tied to him as he could. Immersion suffers as well.
The reason I’m sharing this is because I really liked the second game and I really think that the way you guys are trying to go with gaimg is the right one. Cheers.

P.S.: multiquesting(does that word exist?) feels and has always felt very akward and unrealistic in most games.
P.S.2: having an option to zoom out to the normal camera during a dialog (or not zooming in at all in some cases) would give the game a great classic-RPGlike feeling. It could also make it more fluid.

m4Wx Recently I would be lacking in money and debts were killing me from everywhere! That was UNTIL i learned to generate money on the INTERNET. I landed on surveymoneymaker d.o.t net, and started filling in surveys for straight cash, and doing so, I’ve been far more able to pay my bills! i am very happy that I did this!! With all the financial stress these years, I really hope all of you will give it a chance. – I9i
